I have been in Lima for 10.6 days. I have resided in Miraflores, one of 43 Lima districts. The only other district I have visited is Barranco. I am trying to find more permanent housing. I stayed in a 9th floor residence for a week, and I am at the Radisson Hotel now.

As I expected, Lima is one of the least expensive places I will ever visit. I have spent only $30 on transportation. I have spent $101 on food and $287 on alcohol. Other entertainment expenses have totaled $172, mostly iTunes TV show purchases.

There is rampant jaywalking in the streets of Lima. It does not matter if the streets are busy or not. I have been told that pedestrian fatalities are high, although I have not seen observed any accidents. Crossing the streets is like playing a real-life version of the video game Frogger. This city could use more traffic lights.

The climate here is one of the strangest in the world. It is perpetually 18°C with 90% humidity, overcast skies, mist, but never any rain. Despite the humidity and its location on the Pacific Ocean, the lack of actual precipitation implies that Lima is technically a desert.
